Orange Flower Water is Summer's Best Hydration Secret
Citrus Aurantium Amara (Bitter Orange) Flower Water
Citrus Aurantium Amara is more than a sensory experience. It's one of the most underrated hydrating heroes in skincare and it's the very first ingredient in our signature mist.
As a botanical water, it delivers trace minerals and bioactive compounds directly where your skin needs them. Post-sun? It calms. Dehydrated? It drinks right in. It's skincare that quenches without clogging. Just like a rtall glass of water.
Paired with hyaluronic acid to lock in moisture and PLE (Polypodium leucotomos extract) to help fight sun-induced stress, this mist is your one-step ticket to bouncy, beachy, balanced skin.
WHY READING LABELS MATTERS
Not All "Hydrating" Products Actually Hydrate
Some products lead with alcohol; yes, even ones that say "hydrating" on the front. Learning to read an ingredient list is the single fastest upgrade you can make to your skincare routine.

Botanical waters vs. essential oils: Essential oils are concentrated lipophilic extract; powerful but often irritating on compromised skin. Botanical waters (hydrosols) are the water-soluble counterpart from the same distillation process. Same plant, gentler delivery, and far better suited to a post-sun mist.
What's Inside the Hydrating Sun Mist
Every ingredient earns its place. Here's what's doing the heavy lifting and hydrating!
Bitter Orange Flower Water. Hydrating
Citrus Aurantium Amara
Rich in trace minerals, flavonoids, and natural antioxidants. As the base of the formula, it delivers moisture at the cellular level as opposed to just on the surface. Its mild antimicrobial activity makes it especially useful post-sun when skin barrier integrity is compromised.
Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating
Sodium Hyaluronate
The gold standard humectant; it draws moisture from the air and binds it to skin, holding up to 1,000x its weight in water. In a mist, it works best when applied to damp skin and sealed with a follow-up moisturizer. That's the hydration sandwich method.
Polypodium Leucotomos Extract Protective
PLE
A fern-derived antioxidant clinically studied for its ability to reduce UV-induced oxidative stress and inflammation. It supports the skin's natural repair processes post-sun as a genuinely functional addition, not just a marketing ingredient.
Propanediol Humectant
A lightweight humectant that also acts as a penetration enhancer; meaning it doesn't just hydrate on its own, it helps everything else (the hyaluronic acid, the bitter orange water) absorb deeper into skin instead of sitting on the surface. The delivery driver of the formula.
The Hydration Sandwich Method
Humectants need to be sealed in otherwise they pull moisture from deep in your skin instead of the air. Here's how to use your mist correctly.
1. Cleanse or rinse
Start with clean, slightly damp skin. The water content helps humectants bind immediately.
2. Spritz 3-4 times
Hold 8–10 inches away and mist in broad strokes. Don't rub in, let it settle.
3. Repeat as needed
Use over makeup as a refreshing reset and non-sticky setting spray, your hyaluronic acid keeps working every time you mist to keep your skin dewy and plumped.
